Custom Rustic Christmas Mangers

Saved at 17, I fell in love with Christmas for Christ services as I discovered the real meaning of Christmas. I went to a church that made it a big deal, encouraging us to make our largest gift to God every Christmas. We would go up as families, and being young and single in church, I was often invited to go stand with other families that took me in, as we gave our gift to God. One year in the 1990’s, I started going up alone and asked God every year if I could have a bride and family in church, living for Him.

Years later, as a minister, I loved Christmas for Christ in a new way, as I helped our church catch the vision, to give in an offering that plants churches and spreads the Gospel further. I would have never guessed I would end up as a Home Missions pastor, planting a church, and actually receiving Christmas for Christ funds. It made an enormous difference in getting us launched and established as a young church. Still a younger and smaller church, we have cast that same vision to give sacrificially to this beautiful cause.

In 2024, we entered our sixth year as a church plant. We had a beautiful and rustic manger for the first few years, made out of sticks and twine, but as it wore out, I built a new one out of rough boards sanded smooth. After getting some excellent feedback, we want to see if we can give even more in next years offering by making and selling this hand-crafted manger for church programs and others who want a special prop for their Christmas for Christ services.

  • Slat boards can be from sanded pine or made from pallet wood depending on your preference – boards are selected for character with extra knots and defects preferred, but can also be made with select boards without defect, which looks better especially when painted
  • Can be delivered sanded and smooth and unfinished
  • Or for an extra charge, can be delivered custom stained and varnished or painted
